Kansas Tobacco Retail Training

The Regional Prevention Center of Johnson/Leavenworth/Miami Counties offers Tobacco Retailer Training to employees and/or retailers and clerks cited for sales of tobacco to minors. The outcomes of the 2 hour training are:

• Education on the prevalence of underage tobacco use;
• Awareness of Kansas law regarding the sale of tobacco products (statutes and penalties);
• Learn how to properly check identification;
• Learn refusal skills ;
• Be provided with resources to best support retailers;
• Reduce youth access to tobacco products.
